Toledo barber keeps family tradition looking sharp

Mohammad Reda began cutting hair at his late grandfather, Mohammad’s barbershop in the mountain village of Machghara, in Lebanon. His grandfather, who was also a farmer, taught him the craft, and began by instructing him on the art of the straight-razor shave. Mohammad, who also goes by Pro Moe, now runs Lá Moda, a barbershop of his own in West Toledo, nearby the University of Toledo’s Main Campus. He shipped over his grandfather’s barber chair from Lebanon for $1,000, and hopes to refurbish it and use it as his barber chair at Lá Moda.
